The Hollywood Walk of Fame Project

Four years after the nomination process began, on June 20th 2008, Hugh Jackman was awarded his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The staff of Jackman's Landing joins all of you in being thrilled with the successful outcome of this campaign. Ceremony details will be announced when they are known.

Those of you following this process know the cost of a Star increased by $10,000 months after the process was intiated; $25,000 is a daunting amount to raise during a period of worldwide economic upheaval.

Keeping those challenges in mind, Jackman's Landing will no longer be accepting contributions toward Hugh's star on the Walk of Fame. Those of you waiting to contribute until Hugh's Star was assured are certainly welcome to make a contribution to one of the many charities Hugh supports should you wish to do something special to commemorate the award. As to the Star, Fox Studios will cover the balance of funds for which all of us can be very grateful.

We're keeping information on how the process works available for other sites and fan groups as Pat receives a great deal of email asking how to submit artists for a Walk of Fame award.

Thank you, again, for your friendship and support. Seeing Hugh recognized by this time-honored tradition is a true delight for all of those who support his continued success.
